Time Flies!.....Preparing the Festive Chinese New Year
Sorry guys.....if you thought I was abducted by aliens for not having to blog for almost a month! Yap! Have being very very very busy with overwhelming orders and a little trip to overseas to recharge. A major project with an establish cat food brand is on its way soon, details are confidential till the promotion starts from April till July. To be announced then ;D

And I guess my collar-making schedules will stretched all the way to 1st half of this year which gives me sufficient time for new developments on Miniature series and Long Fur series as I have always wanted to do something for these group of 'fur customers'.

Here's to wishing all a 'Happy New Year' and ....... Never Give Up Your Dream for those who Have Aspirations to start your own little online business.....I would say its never easy, but only hard work and perseverance can tide through all obstacles and of course, Most Most Importantly, Keep An Open Mind to everything with a non judgmental heart..... ;D

X'mas Eve Bazaar At Far East Shopping Centre at Orchard
I am so looking forward to this Xmas Eve Bazaar as I can soak myself into the festive atmosphere right smack in the middle of Orchard Shopping Centers where the festivity mood is felt best here. We were there from 11am - 9pm. Crowd was over pouring as many also shop around for their last minute shopping list around the shopping centre which can lead them to the basement where our bazaar was. Overall, sales is very encouraging, received many encouragements and compliments and smiles from strangers who comes across PawGlam collars for the 1st time. I really love to see people's faces lit up whenever they stop at my booth and get a feel of the handmade collars. Many young teenager gals even mistaken my kitten collars as hand bracelets and broke into loud giggles when I told them they are for pets ;DLeft work at 1pm from my agency and make my way to Far East, car park was already full, we had to find the next building to park, guess many ppl are still doing their last minute shopping.

Many friends were at our booth, but all of them were to shy to pose for a pix ;D

This is where our bazaar's location, basement of the shopping paradise!! Its Girls Heaven....many of the stalls were selling clothes as cheap as $5! Ultra Madness Deals ;D

Ended the night, almost zombie out in PawGlam's Van - Xiao Hei, was too slow to take some beautiful xmas lights as we drive out of Far East as we ended the day..after which me together with 5 other friends drive down to a zhichar place at Queenstown to wolf down our proper dinner cum supper at 11pm. Lol we counted down to xmas with some drunk uncles further down our table, shouting to themselves 'Yummmm Yum Yum Yum Seng! LOL

PawGlam's very 1st HELLO to all CLUBPETS readers
PawGlam features its very 1st magazine adv and article in CLUBPETS Dec issue magazine!! The feel is indescribable, so thrilled to my self-design adv in a magazine for the 1st time though I've done countless of advs in many design agencies. Its a totally different joy of being able to witness your very own product and adv in print. :D I feel like screeeaming!!! yoohoooooo!!!

PETS Magazine New Look Launch
Its great to see PETS adapt a new look for its publication with a bigger magazine size (from A5 to A4), packed with loads of interesting articles and the new look also targets towards a more high fashion look. PawGlam collars will also feature in their fashion spreads of pet models in the new issues, plans are on its way!

It was a cheery afternoon of more than 60 invited guests at the event. Highlight of the tea treats and free flow of juices fr Bangkok Jam) was a talk from Gleneagles psychiatrist , Dr Adrian Wang. Topic was about how pets influence owners emotions and improve in their stress management. Event ended with lucky draws and prizes and our whole table of friends were laughing so loudly cos almost all of us were called out as winners! Lucky table! PawGlam is also happy to partcipate in this event and contributed to sponsoring xmas doorgifts to PETS goodie bag. Event ended close to 4pm.

Over the long weekend, came to knew about the cat abuse case at Toa Payoh North that was out in the papers. Therefore decided to assist as a driver with my husband to reshelter some friendly, vulnerable cats living near the crime area to prevent further abuses as the culprits are still scott free. Under close investigation from a group of friends from Paw Pledge and a very supportive neighborhood of cat feeders, 2 witnesses has agreed to make a police report on previous failed attempts of cat abuses by the same group of kids ages from 11-12 yrs old. The findings was shocking, most of the 7 cats, including a mother cat was abused by them but escaped before. One witness even scare the kids away when he spotted them in the process of strangling a cat with a bicycle chain in the wee hours of 4am. Another cat was tied with his legs and tossed so vigorously that one of its hind legs is permanently damaged and in great danger as it cant be found as we were hoping to bring it back to a fosterer shelter. I pray that that unfortunate cat is found soonest and not under the mercy of the abuser kids as its now the dec school holis.

Its indeed very worrying as such young minds who's backgrounds come from broken single parent families can lead to such vicious acts. We got to know from residents that there are a number of rowdy kids whose parents do not care about them and left them to mix with bad company. Sigh...what can we do to help such kids?...everyone is talking how important education is to them, but one should look at them behave in playgrounds in the wee hours of the nights ~ the misconduct is too deep sitted in them since a very young age...

Police report has being made about them and hopefully they will be under probation where the kids are in constant watch from the police on their whereabouts. These kids are also highly destructive, removing screws from car wheels in carparks and are notorious bullies in school. I guess at the end of the day, only the police can made these kids scared of them, instead of their parents, their teachers....irony isnt it?

Finally got some time to do some Xmas shopping for an upcoming event for Pets Magazine on 12 Dec. Went out to purchase door gifts and did PawGlam's postcards for the event. I must say that i always love to see Xmas decorations on the streets and shops selling xmas trees and ornaments. Jus get me into the festive mood very quickly, maybe its the rich colors of red, gold, green, silver and blues everywhere around. I LOVE strong colors lots!

Looking through a series of photos posted by a cat owner with my collars warms my heart. The kitties really look very good in it and I am also very thankful for the owner's likings for the collar designs. Browsing through the past week of numerous enquiries and orders from thrilled customers made me even more sure of myself and where PawGlam! is heading to.

That 'no regret' feeling of leaving my art director post to do something I enjoy is stronger and greater day by day. I guess end of the day, happiness is above everything and I am glad to make owners happy and their pets looking so glamorous with my self design collars, nothing is to a waste.

Eureka Fashion Bazaar Sales at Singapore Flyer, Sky Deck
I am so thrill today, starting from as early as i woke up this morning. Was a little late as was preparing what to pack for the bazaar the night before. And my poor volkswagen van became a warehouse overnight. Today is my 1st in my lifetime and for PawGlam participation in a bazaar environment. Good weather throughout and crowd was streaming in and out. Had to rush out from 2-5pm for a shoot for PawGlam project and missed a PawGlam client who reserved 2 collars from me 2 days before the bazaar. Wanted to thank her for her support so i left her a message in Facebook asking for photos of her cute kitties wearing the 2 xmas collars ;)

Overall was a great and fun experience interacting with strangers and knowing what designs they love from PawGlam series for their pets. New Designs for PunkGlam, GothicGlam and Hip Hop Glam will be out very very soon after Xmas as i have requests from interested customers.

Bazaar starts as early as 12 noon, most of the tenants started streaming
at 11am to set up their stalls.
Was fortunate to be given a great position to hold our bazaar,
which is infront of the main stage and near the front walkway from the lift ;)
Just realize my mannequin kitties's ears came in handy due to space limitation ;D

Finally! A whole week of production of 42 PawGlam! collars and my 5.30am sleeps are paid off! My 1st consignment at Jireh Vet is well received by the staffs and customers. Its indeed very satisfying to see owners' faces beaming at their pets parading around them with their new PawGlam collars. Though animals cant understand the beauty from the collars, but am sure they love the attention humans give them when they wear PawGlam collars. Its a really a whole new experience to see pets wearing various fashion styles on themself. I was laughing with Linda, an owner of a Jack Russell cos she has chosen a CafeGlam collar for him due to his glutton character ;D

Its a busy day today, preparing my miniature acrylic product display of my collars for Taiwan flea market. Its fun decorating my product displays with fur materials around the box, spiced up with dramatic, chunky semi-precious stones to heighten that 'glam' look! Hey! According to my years of advertising experience, 1st impression is vital to have good reviews from new customers, so just do it pretty and delicately will go well ;) Agree Guys?

Finally, PawGlam!® webby's main page is almost done today, its indeed very encouraging to have friends like Shawn and Kenji who intro me to blogspot and help me out for the construction of this site with my own design ideas. Had a good friend, Jeanie over my house tonight and to my unexpected surprise, she offered to leave her professional manual camera with me for my PawGlam!® product shots. I am really touched beyond words.

Looking forward this Friday for my first batch of collars to arrive overseas with PawGlam!® branding on it, can't wait to catch the sight of it as it looks really good from the email that the supplier sent me. First batch of PawGlam!® collars will be produced for a flea market at Taiwan on 23 Oct as a friend is going there for a holiday and has gathered a group of friends to sell their 2nd hand clothing and accessories. *Gasp* Which left me only 4 days to rush out 36 collars in a swift! But its exciting for me as I was amused to know that dogs are allowed in Taiwan subways and the locals have generous spending habits on leashes and collars for their furry companion. Lets hope my glam collars will find a niche market there too!

No time for any breaks as Xmas is coming round the corner and to celebrate PawGlam!® Opening Sales, I am giving a 20% discount on all X'mas Glam collars - total of 3 lovely bling bling designs to choose from!
